Sometimes with the internet we get lost. It’s pretty big, and full of many dangerous creatures. So, sometimes having a map of sorts is great when trying to find a specific treasure. To help fellow gamers out I decided to gather some recommended resources for FAQs, Reviews, and other information about video games. These are essentially the top go to places right now, but if you know of any other more underground places, feel free to comment and I will add them on!
In no particular order:
1. Zam is definitely a top place to get news, reviews, and resources for popular MMORPGs. Zam network owns several other popular go to places, such as WoWHead and Thottbot. The games the primarily focus on are World of Warcraft, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Rift, FFXI and FFXIV, Everquest 1 and 2, Vindictus, Torchlight, Starcraft, and LOTRO. http://www.zam.com/
2. +IGN is more of an entertainment site than a game information site, however, they do provide great news and rumors for current and upcoming games on all platforms. http://www.ign.com/
3. +Curse started off as a destination to get WoW addons, but in the past year or two they have massively expanded. If you haven’t visited Curse.com in a while, you probably should go check it out. They now have mods for several games, such as Skyrim, Minecraft, Starcraft II, and Terraria. Curse still has it’s client, and users can upgrade to a premium membership in order to get access to get backups, faster downloads, access to beta keys, and much more. Like Zam, they also own several websites now, such as MMO Champion, WoWStead, and WoWpedia. http://www.curse.com/
4. The Escapist offers great articles and stories within the video game lifestyle. Plus, they also have awesome videos that include reviews by Zero Punctuation. If you haven’t watched a video from Zero Punctuation, you probably should – they are extremely funny and true. Though, word of warning, they may include adult language so make sure the little ones are away.http://www.escapistmagazine.com/
5. For cheats, walkthroughs, and FAQs,GameFaqs have always been the number one place to go. They have been around for ages and are very well established. http://www.gamefaqs.com/
6. Mmorpg is a great place to go for discovering new games. They have almost 1.5 million members and contain information and reviews for almost 600 games. They are always on top of beta information, news, and other updates. They have lots of great reviews that can help you explore and find new games. http://www.mmorpg.com/
